Gareth leads the team, calling upon more than 20 years of experience of working in repairs and maintenance in the housing sector. He started as a multi-skilled bricklayer but has turned his hand to most things in the trades and improved his skills through training and practical experience.
Outside work Gareth has his hands full with four children – three of whom are triplets – but he loves spending time with his family and also enjoys walking and working up a sweat at the gym.
Making a difference to the local community is an important motivator for Scott, both in his personal and professional lives.
His career has been focused on horticulture and landscaping, having “got the bug” from working in a garden centre at a young age, and he has expanded his knowledge and expertise from there.
Scott originally joined Centigen as part of the grounds maintenance team, and earned promotion to Team Leader in 2019.
When not at work, Scott prefers to dig much, much deeper! He’s a very experienced caver and combines his love of exploring the underground world with the duties of Secretary of the Forest of Dean Caving Club.
Lewis is responsible for surveying, quotations, giving technical advice and managing his team of multi-trade operatives.
He describes his three children as “wonderful”, although they are the reason why he has put his love of extreme sports to one side – for now, anyway. Slightly less dangerous is his enjoyment of football, and Lewis turns out most weekends for his local team.
Jackie used to travel the length and breadth of the country servicing photocopiers. Then she gave up the nomadic lifestyle and spent several years providing technical administrative support for a couple of local businesses – including her husband’s busy plumbing firm.
There she was responsible for pricing quotations, looking after the accounts and dealing with customer queries – basically making sure everything was running smoothly back at base.
When not at work Jackie is forced to stay fit with four dogs to exercise, which is just as well when the garden and her family are also demanding attention.
Craig comes from a background in carpentry, working his way up from being ‘on the tools’ to his current supervisory position.
He is busy outside work too, with four children plus a coffee shop to manage. Happily, his partner and a team of five others look after the shop on a day-to-day basis, leaving Craig with some time to spend with his family.
Carol is the newest member of our team, joining us in late 2019 and bringing many years of health and safety experience with her. She has previously worked in the prison service and as an independent consultant.
Prior to joining us, Carol spent two years working on a barn conversion with her husband. They have three daughters who have now grown up, leaving Carol more time to indulge in her two favourite things – holidays and Everton FC!
David knew exactly what he wanted to do when he left school and went straight into an electrical apprenticeship. More than 20 years later he’s still working in the industry and his knowledge and experience now encompasses more modern technologies such as heat pumps and pv solar systems.
David loves keeping active outside work, taking his three children cycling, walking and swimming, and he also enjoys the occasional trip to Liverpool to join fellow Everton fans on the terraces at Goodison Park.
